Cajuína

Cashew juice ( suco de caju Portuguese ) is a fruit juice, which is obtained from the Kaschufrucht. It tastes like the fruit itself relatively little intense, a bit of apple and something acidic.

As it is perishable, it is practically available only in the ( tropical ) countries where the fruit is grown. Especially in Brazilian supermarkets it is offered everywhere. Outside of these countries it is only found in specialty stores as frozen juice concentrate.

Cashew juice along with Malibu ( liqueur) one of the two components of the Carnaval - long drinks.

Cajuína

Especially in the northwest of Brazil a drink called Cajuína is made ​​of cashew juice, the medical and ritual action is awarded. These cashew juice is first filtered, then mixed with gelatin. Finally, the drink nor the tannins are extracted.
