Calamonaci

Calamonaci is a municipality in the province of Agrigento in the Italian region Sicily, with 1363 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Location and data

The community is located 50 km northwest of Agrigento and 120 km south of Palermo. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture and produce grain, cotton and wine.

The neighboring municipalities are Bivona, Caltabellotta, Lucca Sicula Ribera and Villafranca sicula.

History

The town was founded in 1574.
