Calcio Como

Como Calcio 1907 is an Italian football club from the city of Como, Lombardy, founded on May 25, 1907. The club colors are blue and white. As the stadium club serves the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, it can accommodate 13,602 spectators. In the 2013/14 season, the club plays in Lega Pro Prima Divisione. The nickname of the team is Lariani.

History

The beginnings

After the first promotion to Serie A in 1949, Como remained for four years in the top Italian league. Then the club commuted for 20 years between Series B and Series C.

1970s

1975 Como returned to Serie A but could be here to keep only one season. After a time it was relegated to the Serie C1, the Lariani managed in 1978 two climbs in a row and thus went back to Serie A. This time succeeded in the first season, although the League receipt, however, rose in the second from again.

1980s

The club had to wait until 1984 before they could return to the top flight again.
