Production and representation

Calcium permanganate can be recovered by electrolysis of solutions of bleaching powder and Alkalimanganaten.

Chemical Properties

Calcium permanganate, Ca ( MnO4 ) 2, such as potassium permanganate, a strong oxidant.

Use

Calcium permanganate is used:

  • In textile production
  • For the bleaching of paper
  • For the sterilization of water and during dental procedures
  • As a catalyst in rocket fuels
