Caldwell Parish, Louisiana
The Caldwell Parish (French: Paroisse de Caldwell ) is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. In 2010, the Parish had 10,132 inhabitants and a population density of 7.4 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( Parish Seat) is Columbia.
Geography
The Parish is located in northern Louisiana and is crossed from north to south by the Ouachita River. To the east is limited by the Caldwell County Boeuf River, which flows south further into the Ouachita River.
The Caldwell Parish is located in northern Arkansas and east of Mississippi each about 100 km. It has an area of 1400 square kilometers, of which 29 square kilometers are water surface.

History
The Caldwell Parish was formed in 1838 from parts of Catahoula and Ouachita Parish in its current boundaries. It was named after the resident plantation owner's family Caldwell.

According to the census in 2010 lived in Caldwell Parish 10,132 people in 3834 households. The population density was 7.4 people per square kilometer. In the 3834 households lived statistically 2.53 per person.
