Calgary Tigers

The Calgary Tigers were a Canadian ice hockey team from Calgary, Alberta. The team played 1921-1936 in the Western Canada Hockey League.

History

The Calgary Tigers was founded in 1921 as a franchise of the inaugural Western Canada Hockey League. In this they played was total until the league disbanded five years. In the season 1923/24, the team won the championship of the WCHL. In this role, the team competed in the finals for the Stanley Cup, but it lost to the Canadiens de Montréal from the National Hockey League with two defeats. In the season 1926/27, the Tigers competed in the Prairie Hockey League. Then the team was inactive for five years before it was reactivated for the season 1932/33, and moved into the once discharged Western Canada Hockey League, whose title she also won at first. Finally, the Tigers played from 1933 to 1936 in the North West Hockey League before the team was finally dissolved. In the season 1933/34, they were also masters there.
