California Maritime Academy

The California Maritime Academy ( CMA, Cal Maritime and CSU, Maritime called ) is a public university in Vallejo in the San Francisco Bay Area in the U.S. state of California. It belongs to the California State University system and is one of seven " Maritime Academies " in the United States, ie, colleges that train their cadets for civilian shipping. The college was founded in 1929. Currently here are 860 cadets, including about 20 percent are female, enrolled.

The sports teams of the CMA are the Keelhaulers. The university is a member of the California Pacific Conference.
