Callixenus of Rhodes

Kallixeinos of Rhodes ( Ancient Greek: Καλλίξεινος ὁ Ῥόδιος ) was a native of Rhodes Hellenistic writer and historian of the 3rd century BC He lived in Alexandria at the time of Ptolemäerdynastie ( Ptolemy II - Ptolemy IV, ie, v 285-204. . AD) and the author of several, usually quoted only in other works writings (as in Athenaeus ) with descriptions and depictions of life and current affairs in Alexandria, also of the court ( eg description of Thalamegos or the grand procession of Ptolemy Philadelphus ).
