Calm Air International Ltd. is a Canadian regional airline based in Thompson, Manitoba. It operates a network of lines, as well as charter and cargo flights, in northern Manitoba and the Kivalliq region of Nuavut. The home base is located at the Thompson Airport.

History

The company was founded in 1960 by Arnold Morberg and his wife. In 1962, the Calm Air received its charter license and began flight operations. At first charter flights in northern Saskatchewan have been performed. In 1976 she took over the passenger service of Transair in Nunavut. 1981, the majority of passenger and cargo routes of Lamb Air was acquired. In 1987, Canadian Airlines International acquired a 45 % stake in Calm Air

  • Nunavut: Arviat, Baker Lake, Chesterfield Inlet, Coral harbor, Rankin Inlet, Repulse Bay, Whale Cove.

  • 8 ATR 42-300 (2 decommissioned)
  • 2 ATR 72-200 (1 freight plane, 1 is converted to cargo aircraft)
