The Cambser Lake is located east of Lake Schwerin in the Sternberg Lake District. On the west bank is the town of Cambs. The total, up to 27 meters deep lake is bordered by a belt of reeds. Its water is drinkable. The Cambser lake drained by the motel and the small and the great Pohlsee in the Warnow. The influx via the partially very marshy north shore of White Lake direction. To the north is located at Cambs a striking larger bay.

The Cambser Lake is located east of the North Sea - Baltic Sea watershed.
