Camerata Bern

The Camerata Bern is a 1963 founded chamber orchestra consists of 14 musicians (2010 ). They step up and rehearse without a conductor. All members are also active as a soloist. The artistic director Antje Weithaas, supported by guest conductors and guest conductors.

Guest musicians in concerts and recordings were Heinz Holliger, Aurèle Nicolet, Jean -Pierre Rampal, Maurice Andre, András Schiff, Radu Lupu, Peter Serkin, Gidon Kremer, Nathan Milstein, Boris Mironovich Pergamenschtschikow, Narciso Yepes, Pepe Romero, Barbara Hendricks, Peter Schreier, Emmanuel Pahud, Sabine Meyer, Oliver Schnyder and more.

The Camerata Bern had toured Europe, North and South America, South Asia, Far East, Australia and Japan.
