Camp Doha

Camp Doha is a former free port area, northwest adjacent to Kuwait City, located right on the Persian Gulf. It covers an area of about 2 x 3 km. It is used since the Second Gulf War (1991 ) as a central logistics base of the U.S. armed forces in the region of the Middle East.

From the beginning of 2002 was home to Camp Doha, the staff, and some forces of the Combined Joint Task Force Consequence Management ( CM CJTF ), a multinational task force under U.S. command. Also belonging to the CJTF CM German CBRN defense battalion was stationed in Kuwait from February 2002 to June 2003 at Camp Doha.

During the Iraq war in March / April 2003 Camp Doha was the responsible American Regional Command (U.S. Central Command / USCENTCOM ) as a logistics hub and district operational command centers ( Joint Operation Centre ): Coalition Forces Land Component Command ( CFLCC ).
