Campeonato Amazonense

The state championship by Amazon ( Portuguese: Campeonato Amazonense ) is the football league of the Brazilian state of Amazonas.

Organization

The Campeonato Amazonense is divided into the Taça Amazon and the Taça Cidade de Manaus.

Taça Amazon

  • Here, each team plays in return game against the other.

Taça Cidade de Manaus

  • The teams are divided into two groups of five.
  • First pass: Here, each team plays in return game against the other.
  • Second round: The top two of each group will play in the play-offs against each other.

If a team has won the Taça Amazon and the Taça Cidade de Manaus, he has won the state championship. If it did not make a team, they have to compete against the winners of other " Zaca " and the winner of these games is national champion in return game.

The mode can be changed every year.
