Campi, Haute-Corse
Campi is a commune with 18 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the Haute- Corse on the island of Corsica. It belongs to the district Corte and Canton Moïta Verde.
Geography
The small community is located in the mountains in eastern Corsica. The small town itself consists of a few houses along a road on a narrow mountain ridge at about 510 meters above sea level between the valleys of the mountain streams Tofo and Piedivallo. The two streams unite west of the village just before the confluence with the Bravona, which flows towards the southeast to the sea. A point on the orographic left bank of the Bravona in the southwest of the community labeled with 199 meters above sea level the lowest point of the Mont S. Appiano in the west of the municipal area with 1093 meters the highest point. The mountain falls to the coastal plain in the east steeply.
Campi is connected by road with the neighboring villages Moïta and Tox, on the 697 meter high Col de San Gavino also with the villages Pietra -di- Verde and Chiatra.
Neighboring communities of Campi di Pietra Verde in the northeast, Canale -di- Verde and Linguizzetta in the East ( the point of contact of five municipalities), Tox in the south, the west and Zalana Moïta in the northwest.
