Camporosso

Campo Rosso ( in Ligurian: Campurùssu ) is a municipality with 5423 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia and is located in the metropolitan area of ​​Ventimiglia.

Geography

Campo Rosso is located in the outermost Riviera di Ponente on the Riviera dei Fiori between Sanremo and Montecarlo. The community is historically the first village of the Val Nervia and belongs to the Comunità Montana Intemelia.

With its 300 meters beach Campo Rosso has been awarded annually since 2001 with the Blue Flag and is listed in the Guida Blu environmental organization Legambiente. Of particular interest are the natural oasis along the mouth of the river Nervia and upgraded by the municipality beach of Campo Rosso.
