Canaan is a city in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. Canaan has 3,319 inhabitants in an area of 142.5 km ². The famous by the American " New Israel " understanding city had also contributed to the adoption of the U.S. Constitution.
History
Canaan was founded in 1761 by Benning Wentworth. Presumably the name comes from the town of Canaan in Connecticut.
