Canaan (son of Ham)

Canaan (Hebrew כְּנַעַן ) is a figure of the Old Testament. He is known there as the son of Ham, grandson of Noah and ancestor of the Canaanites, a people who lived before the occurrence of the Israelites in the land of Canaan. The name of the people subjugated and its position can be attributed to the progenitor.

Historically, should be inversely derived in the form of an origin legend of the name of the country, the name of the ancestor of Canaan.
