Canadian Amateur Hockey Association

The Canadian Amateur Hockey Association ( CAHA ) (French Association canadienne de hockey amateur ) was a Canadian Hockey Association, which was responsible for the Canadian Amateur Hockey range from 1914 to 1994. In 1994, he was merged with the Canadian Hockey Association for Hockey Canada.

The Canadian Amateur Hockey Association was founded in 1914 at the Château Laurier in the Canadian capital Ottawa by the Trustees of the Allan Cup. In 1919 they took over the trusteeship for the Memorial Cup, which passed into the possession of the Canadian Hockey League in 1985. Over time, the functions of the Association grew and he was later responsible for the entire amateur Canada.

In July 1994 the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association was merged with the Canadian Hockey Association, founded in 1968 to Hockey Canada.
