Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
CBC / Radio -Canada is the common brand umbrella for the state broadcasting company in Canada. It was founded in November 1936 and send in the two official languages of Canada in English and French and eight aboriginal languages .
The English part operates under the name Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC ), the French under Société Radio -Canada (SRC; program in abbreviated to Radio -Canada ).
History
1928 a commission was appointed by the Canadian government, which should deal with the situation of broadcasting in the country and make proposals for further action. At the beginning of the 20s first licenses were awarded to private radio stations, their success, however, was moderate compared to that of the neighboring American station. Thus, the Panel advised establishing a nationwide sending institution; this recommendation eventually led in 1932 to the founding of the Canadian Radio Broadcasting Commission ( CRBC ). With the Canadian Broadcasting Act, the Company in 1936 for Crown corporation. End of the 1940s developed the CBC a 15- year plan for the realization of a television program.
