History

The first Canadian Tire store opened in Toronto by William J. Bille and Alfred J. Bille on 15 September 1922. The store was located at the corner of Yonge and Isabella Street. The first store was Hamilton Tire and Garage Ltd.. mentioned. The two business partners invested $ 1,800.
