Canary Current

The Canary Current is a cool to moderate warm ocean current in the North-East Atlantic.

It gets its water from parts of the Azores current, the current Portugal and ascending nutrient-rich deep water. It first flows in a southerly and then southwesterly along the northwestern African coast past the Canary Islands, where he provides throughout the year for balanced temperatures. In the Cape Verde Islands, he turns off to the west and the Atlantic North Equatorial Current.
