Cancer Bats

Cancer Bats is from Ontario, Canada, native, strongly influenced by southern rock influenced hardcore punk band.

Band History

The band was founded by its own account in 2004 in the Canadian city of Toronto by the later singer Liam Cormier and guitarist Scott Middleton. Middleton had previously been playing "Inspiration At the Mercy of " in the metal band. After brief Replace the tape with the other two members Joel Bailey on bass and Mike Peters on drums was complete.

In January 2005, the first self-produced demo CD of the band followed. Gigs and tours where Cancer Bats played for example with Canadian hardcore punk sizes Alexisonfire, Comeback Kid, among other things together. The band is housed at the Canadian independent label Distort Entertainment and touring since 2007, together with the melodic hardcore band Rise Against.

In 2009 she toured with Silverstein on the Billy Talent III Tour of Billy Talent. In 2010 they were support act of Bullet for My Valentine on the go.

Style

Her style is often - they also by itself - as an explosive mix of hardcore punk, southern rock and described punk rock. Furthermore, there are also metal elements in the group's music. Often cited as influences of the group, the band Refused, Black Flag, Led Zeppelin and Down.
