Canchungo
Province
Canchungo is a city in northwestern Guinea -Bissau in the region Cacheu. Until independence it was known as Vila Teixeira de Pinto, named after the Portuguese colonial officer João Teixeira Pinto ( 1876-1917 ).
Population
The town had an estimated 6434 population in 2008.
