Canibus
Canibus ( born 1974, Jamaica; civil Germaine Williams ) is an American rapper and member of the group The HRSMN.
Life
Canibus was born in 1974 as son of the cricketer Basil Williams and his wife Elaine in Jamaica. The family emigrated to the United States and moved there to often. Canibus began to recede as a child and lived introverted. After his high school graduation, he worked for AT & T and the Justice Department. After a year he began to study computer science at Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta.
The mid-1990s he began to rap. He joined briefly with the rapper Webb for formation " THEM " together. After the break with Webb, he continued as a solo rapper. About mixtapes he got in touch with some more established rappers and was in 1997 as a guest rapper on LL Cool J song " 4, 3, 2, 1 " and songs by The Lost Boyz, Common, Wyclef Jean, his later manager, involved. On the soundtrack to Rhyme & Reason, he had his own song.
In 1998 he signed a recording contract with Universal Records and released his single " Second Round KO ", produced by Wyclef Jean, and the associated video with Mike Tyson. The single was a Disstrack against LL Cool J. The rivalry between the two rappers had other Dissantworten until their decay some time later. Also in 1998 the debut album " Can- I- Bus " was released, which reached # 2 on the U.S. charts and went gold. The album was described by critics as excessively and was commercially less successful than expected. Canibus made Wyclef Jean responsibility.
On his second album, which appeared 2000 2000 BC, led to the first appearance of the group later as The HRSMN occurring with Kurupt, Ras Kass and Killah Priest. The four worked together on many of the songs and brought out in 2003 the album "The Horsemen Project".
On their 2001 release, C True Hollywood Stories, both the title and content are the television documentary series E! True Hollywood Story ajar, the rivalry with Eminem came to light. Also this was a part of the feud with LL Cool J. Eminem was accused of having written as a ghostwriter of Disssongs against Canibus. Canibus took on a style similar to Eminem's Stan Disstrack. Eminem's response was the use of the name Canibitch for Canibus.
Canibus came in 2002 in the U.S. Army. He graduated from the Military Academy at Fort Knox in 2003 and served as a Cavalry Scout then.
