Canine fossa

As a canine fossa is called the Eckzahngrube face skull. It is larger and deeper pronounced than the comparable incisive fossae incisivi, the anterior recoveries, and is separated from them by a vertical ridge, the canine eminence, corresponding to the long root of the canine. The canine fossa is the origin of the levator anguli oris. It lies below the infraorbital foramen.
