Canobie Corkscrew

Canobie Corkscrew at Canobie Lake Park (Salem, New Hampshire, USA) is a steel roller coaster from Arrow Dynamics Model Corkscrew by the manufacturer, which was originally opened in 1975 as the Chicago Loop in Old Chicago.

History

It opened in 1975 as the Chicago Loop in the indoor theme park Old Chicago in Bolingbrook (Illinois ). She was the second roller coaster world that was equipped with two inversions. She was standing in the park until its closure in 1980.

In 1982 she was re-opened in Alabama State Fairgrounds (Birmingham, Alabama ) under the name Corkscrew, but was renamed a short time later in Magic City Express.

1986 acquired Canobie Lake Park the car and it was almost two years unassembled in the park, as they would have been assembled later, as approved by the city. In 1987, the Salem Park permission to build the railway.

It was developed by O. D. Hopkins has been renovated and was also part of the film The Fury of 1978.

Layout

Canobie Corkscrew is 22 m high and has two inversions ( a double corkscrew). The journey time is about 1:30 minutes.
