Technical Features

The EOS 1100D has the mid-2008 introduced 1000D replaced as the simplest model. The image sensor will now trigger on 12.2 instead of 10.1 megapixels, beyond the maximum sensitivity has been increased by 2 steps from ISO 1600 to ISO 6400. Unlike the more expensive models, this area is fully exploited by the corresponding automatic.

Among the other new features the introduction of a video mode, as they have the larger Canon models for some time, in the 1100D but only heard up to a resolution of 720p. In addition, there are a number of scene modes and effects functions - already participate in the preview - as with the parallel presented 600D. The selection of effects, however, smaller than in the 600D. Furthermore, the EOS sensor cleaning system, spot metering, and the rubberized surface is omitted under the trigger. For the sensor 1100D provides relatively low-noise images even in high sensitivity and works with the DIGIC 4 processor, which is also used in the high-order models of the same generation.
