Canon EOS 6D

The Canon EOS 6D is a digital SLR ( DSLR) cameras by Canon. It was announced on 17 September 2012, and is commercially available since January 2013.

Technical Features

The 6D is priced 5D Mark III Canon EOS positioned below the entry-level model of the full-frame sensor class.

The camera uses a processor of type DIGIC5 , which allows a continuous shooting rate of 4.5 frames per second as well as videos in a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels with up to 30 frames per second. It's the first Canon DSLR with built-in Wi-Fi and GPS logger. There are two versions on the market: The Canon EOS 6D (WG) and the Canon EOS 6D (N); recognizable by the type plate on the bottom of the camera. The EOS 6D (N ) without Wi-Fi or GPS Logger is offered in countries where there is no general operating.

GPS Logger and integrated WLAN (only EOS 6D (WG) )

The integrated GPS receiver provides location information for pictures and can furthermore be used as a GPS tracker, since it is either active even when the camera is off. About the Wi-Fi functionality can be a communication with a PC, Mac, smartphone or printer. This allows viewing, sharing and printing of recorded pictures are possible. With the smartphone app "EOS Remote", the camera can be controlled remotely. This is the smartphone app for monitoring and control screen or remote control. Photos in the camera's memory can be viewed with the app and marks without a direct physical access would be required at the camera.
