Cantarana
Cantarana is a municipality with 1002 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Asti (AT ), Region Piedmont.
The municipality consists of the villages Concentrico, Palazzasso, Torrazzo, Arboschio, Serralunga, Bricco dell'oca, Bricco Grosso, Bricco Bricco Aguggia and Barrano. The neighboring municipalities are Dusino San Michele, Ferrere, San Damiano d' Asti, Tigliole, Valfenera and Villafranca d'Asti. The patron saint of the town is St. John the Baptist.

The village lies at an altitude of 176 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 9.77 km ².
Specialty
In Cantarana vines of Barbera for the Barbera d'Asti, a DOCG red wine are grown with status.
