Canton of Albert

The Canton Albert is a French canton in the Arrondissement Peronne in the Somme and in the Picardie region; its chief town is Albert. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 2011 Stéphane Brunel ( DVG ).

Geography

The Canton Albert is 17,660 m ( 176.60 km ²) in size and has 17,212 inhabitants (as of 2006), which corresponds to a population density of around 97 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 91 m, between 38 m in Buire -sur- l'Ancre and 161 m in Contalmaison.
