Canton of Chaulnes

The Canton Chaulnes is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Peronne, the Somme and in the Picardie region; its chief town is Chaulnes. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 1994, Philippe Cheval (DVD).

Geography

The Canton Chaulnes is 14,304 ha ( 143.04 km ²) in size and has 6,896 inhabitants (as of 2006), which corresponds to a population density of around 48 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 87 m, between 32 m and 112 m in Proyart in Lihons.
