Canton of Gamaches

The Canton Gamaches is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Abbeville, in the department of the Somme and in the Picardie region; its chief town is Gamaches. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 2011 Daniel DESTRUEL (PS).

Geography

The Canton Gamaches is 15,438 hectares ( 154.38 km ²) in size and has 12,211 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponds to a population density of around 79 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 86 m high, between 7 m in Bouvaincourt -sur- Bresle and 181 m in Bouillancourt -en- Séry.
