Canton of Orthez
The Canton of Orthez is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Pau in the department of Pyrénées -Atlantiques and the Aquitaine region; its chief town is Orthez, Representative to the General Council of the department since 1994, re-elected most recently in 2008, Bernard Moleres.
Geography
The canton is 183.32 km ² and had (2006) 16,723 inhabitants, representing a population density of 91 inhabitants per km ². It lies in the middle to 133 meters above sea level.
