Cao Hamburger

Cao Hamburger (born 1962 in São Paulo, Brazil; actually Carlos Império Hamburg ) is a Brazilian film director, screenwriter and children's book author.

Hamburger was born the son of 1936 emigrated to Brazil German - Jewish physicist Ernst Wolfgang Hamburger in São Paulo. His father is now a professor at the University of São Paulo. The film career of Cao Hamburger began in the early 1980s when he realized numerous Super - 8 films. In addition to short films he directed over 200 commercials, video installations designed for children as well as TV series for health care in his home.

He achieved fame primarily for his children's projects. He has written several children's books and was responsible for various Brazilian television series for children, as a director and screenwriter. In 1999 followed his highly acclaimed feature film debut with Castelo Rá - Tim -Bum, O films. 2007 Hamburgers feature film The Year My parents were on vacation (2006) selected as the official Brazilian contribution for the nomination for the best foreign language film at the Oscars 2008.
