Cape-Arid-Nationalpark

The Cape Arid National Park (English Cape Arid National Park ) is a 2798 km ² large nature reserve in the Australian state of Western Australia. The national park was founded in 1969 is situated on the homonymous cape on the south coast of Western Australia, 120 km east of the town of Esperance. Scenic it is marked by the transition of the vegetation rich coastal zone of the Great Australian Bight to the dry inland. Accordingly, the flora between forested and more steppe-like regions varied.

Of special significance is the Cape Arid National Park as a habitat of over 160 species of birds.

The National Park is a campground at the Thomas River, which is accessible by road vehicles without four-wheel drive. This is not possible with the other campgrounds Mount Ragged, Poison Creek and deal Creek.
