Cape Evans is a rocky headland on the west coast of Ross Island in Antarctica, which limits the north entrance in the Erebus Bay. It was discovered by the Discovery Expedition 1901-1904 led by Robert Falcon Scott, who called it Skuary. Scott's second expedition, the Terra Nova Expedition 1910-1913, here had their base camp; at that time the Cape was by Lieutenant Edward R.G.R. Evans renamed by the Royal Navy, the deputy head was on the expedition. The remains of Scott's camp can be found still there.
