Cape Sainte Marie

Geography

The nature reserve is located 63 km south of Tsihombe, and 230 km from Fort- Dauphin ( Tolagnaro ) away.

Wildlife

Particularly impressive in this reserve is the accumulation of turtles found there. Up to 3000 pieces were counted here on a sq. km. Of species here are primarily the radiated tortoise (Geochelone radiata) and the spider tortoise ( Pyxis arachnoid ) ago.

In addition, here you can find the duns mouse lemur, a tiny lemur of 15 cm, the endemic Madagascar sand iguana ( Chalarodon madagascariensis ) and the yellow -colored bat Rousetus madagascariensis.
