Cape Verde national basketball team

The Cape Verde national basketball team represents Cape Verde in the men's basketball internationals. After the selection of the Cape Verdean men until the mid- 1990s played no role within Africa and could never qualify to go for a continental finals of the African Cup of Nations, it was qualified since 1997 at five of the nine finals until 2013. 2007 succeeded in surprising winning the bronze medal in the European Championship.
