Capital Cities is an American indie pop duo from Los Angeles.
History
Capital Cities was founded by Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian 2009. On June 7, 2011 appeared under the title Capital Cities EP, the debut EP with the single Safe and Sound. On June 1, 2012 came the second single, Kangaroo Court, on the market. Perez Hilton took to the compilation Pop Up # 1
In February 2013 Safe and Sound rose to No. 1 on the U.S. Alternative Songs charts. 2013 is the telecommunications company Vodafone the song in an advertising campaign for a German market. Then it rose within four weeks to # 1 on the Media Control Charts. On August 25, 2013, the video clip of Safe and Sound with the MTV Video Music Award was rewarded.
