Capitalia

Capitalia SpA was an Italian banking group with headquarters in Rome, which was created on 1 July 2002 by the merger of the two banking groups Banca di Roma and Bipop - Carire.

In May 2007 Capitalia merged with the Italian financial services group UniCredit 's second largest banking group in Europe. The merger was completed on 1 October 2007, which was dissolved in Capitalia, UniCredit Group.
