Capitol Airlines was an American charter airline for the most part led by charter flights from America to Europe in the 1970s and 1980s.

History

Your hubs were John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, and the airport Brussels -Zaventem, Belgium and the San Juan airport in Puerto Rico. Although Capitol Airlines also had some scheduled destinations, the company specialized in charter flights. The airline began a predominantly aircraft type Douglas. The fleet consisted of aircraft such as the Douglas DC-8, Super Constellations and 1980 Douglas DC-10 were leased. Capitol Airlines also conducted many military charter flights. Incidents

In the early 1980s, a Capitol Airlines DC-8 was hijacked and diverted to Cuba. All passengers survived.
