Caprauna
Caprauna ( Piedmontese and Ligurian Cravaun -a) is a municipality with 108 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN ), Region Piedmont.
The municipality comprises the villages of Poggio, Chiazzuola, Ruora and Case sottane. The neighboring municipalities are Alto, Aquila di Arroscia, Armo, Borghetto d' Arroscia Ormea and Pieve di Teco. The patron saint of the place is S. Antonino.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level and is one, although it south of the Alps is already Piedmontese Comunità montana Alta Val Tanaro. The municipality covers an area of 10 km ².
Tourism
Caprauna is a major stage in the new long-distance footpath Via Alpina.
