Captain Kangaroo

Captain Kangaroo was an American television series.

Topics from the world of adults were processed appropriate for children in a playful way. Protagonists were dolls in the form of kangaroo, rabbit, elk, worm and frog. The role of Captain Kangaroo was played by Bob Keeshan. Captain Kangaroo was broadcast by CBS in educational television for preschoolers from 3 October 1955 to 1984 and was the longest-lived weekly series in the U.S. children's program. Became famous for Captain Kangaroo also by the country song Flowers on the Wall by the Statler Brothers. This song is also part of the soundtrack of the movie Pulp Fiction.
