Capys

Capys (Greek Κάπυς, Latinized Capys ) is a person of Greek mythology. He was the son of Assaracus (son of Tros ) and the Hieromneme, husband of Aigesta, Themiste (also Themis, daughter of Ilus ), father of Laocoon and of Anchises and so grandfather of Aeneas. He is one of the Trojans, who held the wooden horse at the gates of the city of Troy for a trap.
