Car Dyke

The Car Dyke is a 140 km long ditch in the Fens in Lincolnshire. In the 18th century it was interpreted by William Stukeley as a historical transport. Maybe the channel as the Foss Dyke even goes back to Roman origins. Later he seems to have been used as a drainage channel.
