Caradon
Caradon ( Cornish: Karadon ) was a District in the county of Cornwall in England. Administrative headquarters was the town of Liskeard; significant sights of the former Districts are Callington, Looe, Saltash and Torpoint.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the boroughs Liskeard and Saltash, Looe and Torpoint Urban District and Rural District Liskeard and St Germans. On 1 April 2009, in addition Caradon all other Districts in Cornwall were abolished and combined into a single unitary authority.
