Caramac

Caramac is a cocoa -free caramel bar of the Nestle company.

History

Caramac was later marketed in 1959 by the company Mackintosh, Rowntree Mackintosh. The name is an acronym of the words caramel and Mackintosh and was determined in a competition.

Caramac was produced until 1995 in Norwich. After the closure of the production at the site Fawdon, an electoral district in Newcastle upon Tyne has been relocated.

The brought out in 2005 Caramac variant of Kit Kat Kit Kat was the most successful variant by 2008.

Ingredients

The bolt is made of vegetable fat, sugar, milk sugar, sweetened condensed skimmed milk, skimmed milk powder, butterfat, emulsifier sunflower lecithin, molasses, invert sugar syrup, flavoring and salt. It may contain traces of wheat protein. Caramac is suitable according to the manufacturer for an ovo - lacto-vegetarian diet.
