Caramoan Peninsula

Geographical location

The Caramoan Peninsula is located in the southern part of the island of Luzon, in the Philippines. It is located in the northeast of the province of Camarines Sur in the Bicol Peninsula. The topography of the peninsula is described as mountainous, the elevation profile rises to 1,003 meters above sea level, at the Saddle Peak. It separates the Philippine Sea, to the north by the Gulf of Lagonoy in the southeast. To the east of Maquela channel separates the peninsula from the island of Catanduanes. On its northern coast is the 3.16 km ² Caramoan National Park. North of the Caramoan Peninsula are the islands Quinalasag, Lahuy, Basot, Basog and Bagieng Iceland.

The communities Caramoan, Garchitorena, Lagonoy, Presentacion and San Jose are on the peninsula.
