Caravia

Marmari is a Spanish municipality ( in Asturias concejo, the rest of Spain municipio ) in the autonomous region of Asturias. The residents of Marmari be called in local language caravianu or caraviana.

Geography

Marmari is the third smallest municipality in Asturias. Its main towns are Prado ( Asturian prau ) Duesos and Duyos. The community is located 68 km from Oviedo.

El Fito is the highest elevation of 631 m in the south of the church. In the north the municipality borders on the sea (Gulf of Bizkaya ) and where it possesses the beaches La Beciella, El Arenal de Morís and La Espasa. The central part of the municipality together with the municipalities Colunga, Piloña, Parres and Ribadesella the Sueve.

Climate

The climate is maritime and humid with pleasant mild summers and mild, rarely severe winters according to the coastal area. Due to the Picos de Europa in the hinterland is expected in the spring and autumn with morning mists.
