Carbon Motors Corporation

The Carbon Motors Corporation was an American automobile company, which was founded for the purpose to build special police vehicles. It was founded in 2003 in Los Angeles by Stacy Dean Stephens, a former police officer, and William Santana Li, a former manager at Ford. The company moved in 2006 to Atlanta, where the development of its products and the recruitment was driven by investors. In July 2009, the company moved its headquarters to Connersville, Indiana, for investing $ 350 million in the renovation of a former Visteon plant.

On March 22, 2010 Carbon Motors signed a contract with BMW for the supply of 240,000 six-cylinder diesel engines, which should be made ​​in the engine plant in Steyr.

The E7

Carbon Motors E7 developed the model, the first developed specifically for the police vehicle. The E7 should be sold only to police authorities and other public authorities. The prototype was presented in 2008 to the "Pure Justice Tour". According to co-founder and a CEO William Santana Li, the E7 should go in 2012 in the sale. It was put together by American police to create a vehicle that meets the requirements of the police.
